Our promise about your bio data.
We don’t sell your bio data. Ever.
Your peeps’ favorite colors, where they vacation, what they love, what they avoid — none of it is ever sold, rented, shared with data brokers, traded with marketing partners, or used for advertising of any kind.
Bio data is used for exactly one purpose: tailoring gift picks for you, by you, inside Gift Pong.
Where your bio data actually goes (the necessary plumbing)
To work at all, the app passes your bio data through three external services. Each is a contractually-bound processor (they handle data on our behalf) and none of them are permitted to sell, share, or repurpose it:
- Supabase — our database. Stores your bios with strict row-level security so only you can read your own slices. Standard cloud-database processor agreement.
- Anthropic (Claude AI) — the AI engine that suggests gifts. Bio context is included in the prompt so the picks feel personal. Anthropic does not use API data to train their models, and deletes prompts within 30 days. Their terms prohibit any onward sale or sharing.
- Google (Gemini AI) — generates the artwork on greeting cards. May see small bio fragments if the card art references something specific. Same posture: paid-tier prompts are not used for training and are deleted within 24 hours.
If any of these vendors ever changed their terms in a way that allowed selling our customers’ data, we would migrate off them. That is a hard commitment.
What this means in plain English
- Nobody outside Gift Pong sees your bio data for any commercial purpose, ever.
- The three vendors above see it only to make the app work, and only briefly.
- The only money tied to your activity is the affiliate commission Amazon, Etsy, and Google pay Gift Pong when you (or your gift receiver) clicks a Buy link. Those merchants never see your bio.
See the full Terms & Conditions for the legal version. It says the same thing in lawyer language.
